|| Our History.
|
In 1880, William T. Delaplaine formed a printing company with partners Thomas Schley and Victor Marken. The focus of the enterprise was to provide Frederick's emerging business community with quality printed materials. The first products included letterheads for stationery, billheads, envelopes and pamphlets.
From the founding of The News in 1883 and the purchase of the first linotype printing press in 1909 to the use of computers in the Editorial Department in 1984 and the purchase of a state-of-the-art customized TKS press in 2007, The Frederick News-Post and it's commercial printing division FNP Printing and Publishing are consistently developing to meet and surpass the industry standards and the needs of our community and customers.
